We are excited to announce Ukwakhwa obtained 501(c)(3) status as a nonprofit organization. We can now accept donations and apply for grants that will help us further our goals of sharing the knowledge we gather. Funds will help offset our costs of running our farmstead, maintaining our new farmstead kitchen, bringing in artisans and chefs to teach us, and adding a layer of local food security. We have a few projects on the horizon including upgraded kitchen equipment such as a large freezer, steam kettle, food dehydrators, and environmentally sustainable food containers. We also hope to undertake the construction of a large pavilion to host events. If you are interested in donating, click here.
